Give them their own 'patch'. This is a great way for kids to learn to be responsible for something. It's best if their patch is small, at least in the beginning. If they love it and want to do more, you can always make it bigger.

One of the most common searches on my site is for pictures of landscaping. So I know that a lot of folks rely on photos of other peoples designs to get ideas. It would seem that with as many pictures of landscaping there are to look at online, just about everyone could find a close match to their own property that could be copied.
